A recent newspaper report stated that goods imported from the United Sates by stores in Europe, are being sold in Europe at sometimes double the price consumers pay for the same article in the U.S. See Table:

Note, however, that there are extra costs, such as handling and shipping and likely import-levies, and that VAT (Value Added Tax – or – Sales Tax) in Europe adds on another whopping 19% to the article. The few examples above (there are many others) are not extreme and, as far as their prices in Europe are concerned, well documented.
Nonetheless, European consumers ordering direct from America, we have found, still pay considerably less for their goods when ordering direct from you.
